RefWorks is available to all K-Staters. Create a personal citation database with RefWorks. Import references or citations from a text file, from a library catalog or database, from a website, or manually type in the information. These references may then be exported to a manuscript, term paper, dissertation, or any other document. With the click of a button, RefWorks will format references in a variety of citation formats.

You must create a personal account to use RefWorks. Returning RefWorks users can login to their accounts using the sign in box on the left.

As of the fall 2016 semester, K-State is slowly rolling out of a new version of RefWorks known as RefWorks 3 or New RefWorks. If you are new to RefWorks, you can create an account with New RefWorks by going to and clicking "create account"

Once you have created your New RefWorks account, continue to use to sign in.

If you prefer, you may create an account using RefWorks 2 (aka Legacy RefWorks) using the Sign up for a new account link in the Sign In box to the left.

For more information about RefWorks 2 and the RefWorks roll out, or get help by visiting K-State's RefWorks Help Center.
