Community Patron Library Cards are available to Kansas residents aged 18 years and older. The fee for a Community Patron Library Card is $10 per year.
Community users must complete an application and provide proof of Kansas residence, such as a Kansas driver’s license, at Library Help at the Union.
Community patrons will be provided with a My Library Account with their Community Patron Library Card. Through this account, patrons can view items charged to their account and items on hold, renew items due, update personal information, and pay fines and fees.
While most library services are available to community patrons, recalls and interlibrary loan services are not available. Please contact your local community library for interlibrary loan services.
Kansas Library Card
A Community Patron Library Card does not provide off-campus access to many of the online journals and databases that we subscribe to due to licensing regulations. Community patrons are welcome to use K-State Libraries and most of our resources by visiting one of our library locations. However, the state of Kansas does provide access to some databases and resources to Kansas residents through the State Library of Kansas databases. Most of these can be accessed from anywhere in the state with a Kansas Library Card.
Apply for a Kansas Library Card in person at Library Help at the Union.
