K-State Libraries Information Technology Services provides custom web and application development, platform support, desktop and equipment support, networking, digital automation, and data management for K-State Libraries.
We have partnered with other units, both internal and external to the Libraries, to produce cutting-edge, compelling information projects. A full-stack development shop, we have built a variety of useful and groundbreaking products on top of everything from traditional relational databases, document databases, to semi-structured data layers.

Library Information and Support for Technology (LIST)
LIST provides desktop, equipment, and account support for the faculty and staff of the Libraries. Managing everything from mailing lists to door access, LIST is a top notch service team of highly skilled information professionals.
Systems Team
The Systems Team is responsible for the computing infrastructure, security, service availability, and advocacy of K-State Libraries. They provide inter-departmental services through on-site and cloud-based server applications and support for our Development and LIST teams.
Their working environment combines open source software and hosted solutions to provide academic resources to the students, faculty, and staff of K-State while also serving the international community.
Development Team
The Development Team is responsible for building full-stack, scalable, web-based applications and programmatic solutions for the libraries. This team of experienced, highly-trained developers is responsible for many of the libraries' signature products.
K-State 2025
K-State Libraries’ Strategic Plan supports K-State's 2025 initiative for K-State to be recognized nationally as a Top 50 public research university. Key activities of this department include:
- K-State Libraries will be a partner in enhancing the research reputation of K-State by developing supportive services and collections.
- K-State Libraries will increase visibility and understanding of staff, roles, services, collections, and programs of the Libraries to promote the added value that libraries and librarians bring to engagement.
