Matilda Amelia (Saxton) Winn (1908-?)

Matilda Amelia Saxton graduated from Kansas State College in Music Education with a minor in English and Speech in 1931. She taught at junior college and high school levels in South Carolina, Tennessee and Missouri. She was the executive director of a branch of the YWCA in Memphis, TN. While in New Jersey, she worked for the national YWCA in Trenton, and for the Bureau of Children's Services. Winn completed graduate work in Community Planning and Philosophy at Columbia and in Sociology at Rutgers.
