Minnie Howell Champe: Scholarship


The purpose of this scholarship is to honor Minnie M. Howell Champe for the example she set, her realization that knowledge was empowering and that family and education were the most important things in life. This scholarship was established by individuals who respect her life and the family of Minnie M. Howell Champe

The recipient of this scholarship shall be a student properly enrolled in the College of Human Ecology at Kansas State University. Preference will be given to an African-American single mother. In all other respects, these funds shall be awarded without restriction to race, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation or disability.
