Under the supervision of the Head of IT Services, develop and maintain applications for KState libraries, using a variety of technologies, including, but not limited to: PHP, jQuery, Javascript, Angular JS, XML, JSON AJAX, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Ruby, CSS3, CSS media queries, and GIT version control as determined by the Head of Libraries IT Services. Build web applications using Javascript libraries. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: user interfaces; data layers; application programming interfaces and applications designed to communicate with other interfaces; general purpose scripts; control and presentation application layers. Participate in committees and teams with technical and non-technical library staff to implement enhancements to the Libraries’ technology posture, and assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies. Embrace a high level of collaboration and customer service in relation to interactions and communication with colleagues. May provide mentoring to other staff/programmers. Create a well-structured document object model and user interface. Engage with colleagues in creative problem solving, and authoring code which is standards compliant, robust and secure. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Software Engineering or closely related programming focused degree. One year of experience with the following: HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, user interface, Javascript libraries, jQuery, Angular JS, CSS media queries, GIT version control. $59,400 - $63,000/yr.
