Need sources for a big paper? Use Search It to find books and articles on any subject. Don't worry if you can't get the whole article, we'll borrow it for you from another library using Interlibrary Loan.


Online Help

Our FAQ has answers to over 100 common questions. Can't find the answer to your question? Our librarians love to help! Contact K-State Librarians by emailchat, or text messaging during library hours.

If it's after hours, leave us a message and we'll get back to you when the library opens.

Research Assistance

Have a tough research project? Schedule a one-on-one meeting with a librarian for help getting sources.

Can't meet in person? No problem! We can also work with you by phone, online chat, or a free online meeting application such as Skype or Zoom. 


K-State Libraries on Campus

K-State Libraries have five different locations for you to study, research, and work on collaborative projects. Our main location, Hale Library, is open 24/5 during the spring and fall semesters.



Study Spaces

Hale Library has designated quiet study spaces and group study spaces available to fit your needs. We also have collaboration stations and dry erase boards to help you do group work.

Computers and Software

Hale Library has over 200 PCs and Macs available for anyone to use (no password required!). We've also installed software, like Microsoft Office, MiniTab, and iWork, for you to use.



One-on-One Help

Our librarians love to help you find resources or answer your questions. You can stop by the Ask-A-Librarian desk on the second floor of Hale Library or emailchat, or text message us during library hours (yes, even if you're in the building).



Browse the Shelves

The Libraries have over two million books, dvds, and other items available for you to browse on the shelf. Don’t worry if you haven’t gone to the stacks before, we’ll help you!



Library Locations

In addition to the resources in Hale Library, we also have specialized resources in Veterinary Medical LibraryMath/Physics Library, and Paul Weigel Library of Architecture, Planning & Design.

There's also the Kansas State Polytechnic Library on the Kansas State Polytechnic campus.

K-State Libraries' Awards

The Marjorie J. and Richard L. D. Morse Family and Community Public Policy Scholarship

Awarded annually, the award gives $3000 to a K-State undegraduate student to work on a project that involves community service and has the potential to impact public policy.

Kirmser Undergraduate Research Award

Awarded annually, the awards are given to K-State undergraduates who conduct exceptional library research for course projects.
