What I can do as your liaison...
Tools
Citation Linker- Enter citation information for an article and it will check for the article online. If it is not available from K-State Libraries, it will try to get it for you from another library.
Custom Book RSS Feeds-We can create a feed of new items that meet your criteria.
LibX Toolbar-Firefox extension that puts the Libraries' GET IT button on websites (Amazon, Wikipedia, Google, etc) with ISBNs and ISSNs. It will try to find it available online. If not online, it will try to get it for you from another library. Highly recommended! (We are working on making a version for Internet Explorer)
Scanners and copy machines-found on the first, second, and third floors of Hale Library. Copying is $.10/page and scanning is free. Click here for more scanning information.
Media Development Center-Equipment checkout and technology assistance.

Assignment Planner-Enter the due date of a paper and it outlines a research and writing schedule. If students plug in their email address it will even send reminders about where they should be in the process.
Library Instruction-Subject Librarians will tailor instruction demonstrations, hand-on sessions, and web pages for your class to help your students get started on their research and help them identify relevant sources. The librarian can come to your class or can reserve a room in the library to work with your students.
Reserves-Putting items on reserve insure students have access to class material.

Ordering Library Materials-If you would like the Libraries to purchase materials for the collection (books, videos, etc), you can do so by emailing your subject librarian the title of the item, forwarding a link from a site such as Amazon.com, or by filling out this form.
Borrowing Privileges -All K-State faculty, staff, students and authorized affiliates can borrow library materials with valid K-State ID card.
Document Delivery-Library staff will retrieve, scan, and deliver via email locally owned library material. This service currently is available only to K-State faculty.
NIH Public Access Policy-Need help understanding the NIH Public Access Policy? This page can help faculty comply with NIH requirements.
KREx-A digital archive of scholarly works produced by K-State faculty, staff and students. There are many benefits to contributing to KREx including increased visibility on sites such as Google Scholar and OAIster, and the ability to have a unique and permanent URL which you can link from your departmental or personal web pages.
RefWorks-This web-based bibliography manager allows you to create a personal bibliographic database. Users can build a database by importing references or citations from a text file, from a library database, or by manually typing in the information. These references may then be exported to your document. With the click of a button, RefWorks will format a paper with references in a variety of citation formats.
Zotero- This is a free, open-source, add-on to the Firefox browser, that enables one to collect, manage, and cite research from all types of sources. It is convenient to use because it resides in the browser. (Similar to Refwork)
