Primary:
- ACM Digital Library
A vast collection of citations and full text articles from Association of Computing Machinery journals, newsletters, and conference proceedings. The Digital Library is the full-text repository of papers from publications that have been published, co-published, or co-marketed by ACM and other
publishers.
Coverage: varies Access: 3 users
- Compendex
The electronic version of Engineering Index , Compendex is the most comprehensive bibliographic database of engineering research available today,
containing over eight million references and abstracts taken from over 5,000 engineering journals, conferences and technical reports dating back to 1969.
Coverage: 1969- Access: unlimited
- Computer Database
Contains computer-related product introductions, news, and reviews in areas such as hardware, software, electronics, engineering, and telecommunications.
Coverage: 1980- Access: unlimited
- IEEE Xplore
Provides full text access to technical literature in electrical engineering, computer science, and electronics published through the IEEE and IEE Society.
IEEE Xplore contains full text documents from IEEE journals, transactions, magazines, letters, conference proceedings, standards, and IEE (Institution of
Electrical Engineers) publications.
Coverage: varies, generally 1988- Access: 15 users
- Lecture notes in computer science
The series Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), including its subseries Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI), has established itself as a
medium for the publication of new developments in computer science.
Secondary:
- Information Science & Technology Abstracts
Coverage includes classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management, search engines, printed and electronic information
sources, the information industry, scholarly communication, electronic publishing, and more.
Coverage: mid 1960s- Access: unlimited
- Inspec
Produced by the Institution of Electrical Engineers ( IEE ), the database provides access to the world's scientific literature in electrical engineering, electronics,
physics, control engineering, information technology, communications, computers, and manufacturing and production engineering. It indexes journals, conference preceedings,
and books.
Coverage: 1969- Access: unlimited
- Journal Citation Reports
Evaluate and compare journals in the sciences and social sciences using citation data drawn from over 7,500 scholarly and technical journals.
JCR is related to Web of Science and is based on similar data. Use JCR to find the most frequently cited journals in a field and/or a journal's
impact factor, among other information.
Coverage: 2002- Access: 8 users
- Knovel
Over 700 digital versions of books across a wide range of scientific and engineering fields. Browse by subject or title, or search across part or
all of the collection by keyword.

- NTIS
The National Technical Information Service (NTIS) provides a database of government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related
information. Over 350 subject areas from over 200 federal agencies are covered. Although the NTIS offers documents for sale, many are available at
K-State Libraries. Search the library catalog for any titles found in the NTIS before purchasing.
Coverage: 1990- Access: unlimited
- Web of Science info for new users
Essentially an online version of the three traditional Citation Indexes: Science, Social Sciences, and Arts and Humanities. In addition to searching by keyword, subject,
author, etc. for articles in over 8,000 journals, one can do a "cited reference" search, in other words, it's possible to see how frequently and
where an article has been cited. Web of Science is one of the most powerful indexes available, but also relatively difficult to use. There is
extensive help , however. Also an excellent source for finding book reviews; to do so, limit the search to document type book review (found near the bottom of the screen).
Coverage: Science 1945-; Social Sciences 1956-; Arts & Humanities 1975- Access: 5 users
