Who gets my IM?
K-State Libraries' reference staff answer the questions. If you don't get an immediate response, please wait or leave your name and email for us to contact you. Please feel free to also contact staff through email, telephone, or in person. Chat patrons are taken on a first-come-first-served basis.
K-State Libraries respects our users’ privacy. This policy is to let our users know what information is collected by our chat service and Text Messaging (SMS) service and how it may be used.
All chat and text messages are saved for statistical and content analysis. This information is used to help library administrators determine appropriate staffing levels, when to offer this service, and for instruction and librarian training purposes. However, all identifying information is removed before we copy and save the chat transcripts.
Statistics and chat excerpts may be used for library report and publication purposes. If you wish to have your chat record deleted, please contact
