The Kansas State University Libraries invite applications for the Marjorie J. and Richard L. D. Morse Family and Community Public Policy Scholarship. Through a Morse Family endowment, the $3000 scholarship supports a project or internship that provides experience in community, state or federal governments or service in the non-profits sector. The project or internship must encourage the development of public policy which impacts the quality of family and community life. All K-State undergraduates are welcome to apply.
Please submit the following materials for consideration:
Cover letter addressing your interest in public policy development and community service
Plan describing your project or internship objectives and goals
Letter of recommendation from project or internship sponsor
Letter of recommendation from a professor with direct knowledge of your academic achievement
Scholarship recipients prepare a final report documenting the outcomes of their project or internship for submission in K-State Research Exchange (K-REx).
Scholarship funds are deposited in the recipients’ K-State account in three installments:
$1000 upon acceptance
$1000 after mid-summer project report demonstrating substantial progress
$1000 upon submission of final report
