K-State accepts ILL requests via OCLC, AGent/Online in Kansas, request form, fax, and mail. OCLC or AGent (in Kansas) preferred, if possible.

Loan Periods

Books, Dissertations & Master’s Theses

12 weeks use, no renewals


Occasionally lend bound volumes; 3 days use, no renewals
Returns must be insured via two-day express delivery service. 

Newspapers, Microforms, and Audio-Visual

Loan period varies, no renewals, some are non-circulating


Loan period varies, no renewals.

Non-circulating material includes:

  • Phonodiscs
  • Reference
  • Reserves
  • Special Collections

Book loan service suspended between December 22 and January 2.

  • Mail Delivery--Copy fee (above) plus additional $5
  • Fax Delivery (20 pages or less)--Copy fee (above) plus additional $5

Web Delivery

  • We can scan most articles and post them to the Web for immediate retrieval.
  • You will be notified by e-mail when the article has been posted. The e-mail will provide the url for retrieval.

Lost Materials Fees

In-Print and Out-of-Print Materials

  • 100 or current price if over $100
