K-State Libraries proudly welcome the citizens of Manhattan and the surrounding communities to use our resources. Part of our mission as a land-grant institution is to serve the academic and intellectual pursuits of all Kansas residents.


Members of the community are encouraged to use our services and check out material at any of our campus libraries.

Community Patron Library Card

Kansas residents 18 years and older can check out books for 30 days with a Community Patron Library Card.  



Limited free black and white printing is available. Inquire at Hale Library Help on the 2nd floor of Hale Library

Copy Machine


The cost for copies is $.10 for black and white copies.


Free scanners can be found on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th floor of Hale Library. Images can be emailed or saved to a flash drive.


Many of K-State Libraries' resources can be accessed from anywhere, without restrictions.

Licensed and recommended free databases, indexing and abstracting services, and full-text reference resources.

Manhattan Public Library Databases
Databases and online resources provided by the Manhattan Public Library.

Patrons do not need a password to use public computers.Some of K-State Libraries' resources must be accessed from campus. Community patrons are welcome to use any of the public computers in Hale Library to access these journals and databases.
