The Hemisphere Room in Hale Library is available for university colleges and departments to use for university-related events during working hours, M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Fees are as follows 
(Media, equipment use, setup and tear down are included in the listed fees)

  • $75/hour (or $525/day) fee.
  • An additional $100 fee will be charged for times outside the normal working hours or weekends.
  • The $100 fee will also be applied for no-shows or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice.

When scheduling the room, please include time before and after the event for set up and break down.


Room set up

A reply will be sent within two days following receipt of the request form. Please contact the Libraries’ Building Services office at 785-532-5397 for further information and clarifications.

To cancel a previously made reservation, please complete and submit the cancellation form at least 48 hours before event. If the cancellation form is not received, the reservation will be treated as "no show" and the additional $100 fee will apply.
