eID: I forgot my K-State eID password. What do I do?

If have forgotten your K-State eID password and previously set an alternate e-mail address, security question and answer in the Password Reset Options section in your eProfile, then you can reset your K-State eID password online. If not, you must contact the IT Help Desk to reset your password.

  1. Go to the eProfile password reset website and enter your K-State eID.
  2. An e-mail will be sent to your alternate e-mail address.
  3. From that e-mail, click the password-reset link and then answer your password-reset question.

If you did not set an alternate e-mail address with security question and answer, you will need to contact the IT Help Desk.

You can change your password over the phone or in person at the IT Help Desk, 214 Hale Library on the Manhattan campus or at the ID Center, 103 TAC Building on the Salina campus. You will need to provide proof of your identity.

You can read more about K-State's eID policies on Information Technology Services' website.
