Dissertations or Theses: Can I borrow or purchase a copy?
Interlibrary Services can request to borrow dissertations and theses, but sometimes other libraries do not loan them out. Kansas State University does not sell copies of our dissertations or theses. However, from 2006/2007, electronic versions of K-State dissertations, theses, and reports that were submitted by students are available free from K-State Research Exchange (K-REx).
Looking for dissertations or theses from other universities? Many are accessible online through Dissertations and Theses Full Text. Citations with the "Full Text - PDF" link are available for download at no cost to K-State students, faculty, and staff.
To see if they are available for purchase from University Microfilms International, first check Dissertations and Theses - Full Text. Those with the "Order a copy" link are available for purchase through this database.
Your options to purchase:
- Have Interlibrary Services order a unbound paper copy. Bring a check made payable to K-State Libraries for $33.00 or provide Visa or Master Card number and expiration date. Copies usually arrive within 3-4 working days of receipt of the order.
