Steve Boylan, retired U.S. Army Colonel, and Traci Scott, regional liaison officer for the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, will discuss the utility and practice of strategic communication in the context of conflict and crisis, using the Iraq battleground as a test case.
Boylan, an assistant professor at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, served as the chief military spokesperson for Gen. David Petraeus in Iraq.
Scott previously served on the secretary of defense's legislative staff and is a 2008 recipient of the Civilian War on Terror medal.
