Analog Games Day is dedicated to board, tabletop and card games along with the social aspects of gaming.
Guests can participate in tournaments for games such as Warhammer 40k, Magic The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! or play pick-up games with fellow analog gamers.
There will also be a Dungeon Master available for Dungeons & Dragons gaming. Feel free to bring your own board, tabletop and card games as well.
This event is free and open to the public.
Sponsored by K-State Libraries and Game Hounds.
Why games at a college library?
Games are an incredible instructional model, if you can teach something with a game you’ve taught it in a deep, meaningful way.
“Game-based learning reflects a number of important skills higher education institutions strive for their students to acquire: collaboration, problem solving, communication, critical thinking, and digital literacy.
What makes educational gaming appealing today is the plethora of genres and applications associated with it.”
