K-State students, faculty, and staff unable to travel to K-State Libraries may use Interlibrary Services (ILS) to obtain materials in K-State Libraries or other libraries.
Requesting Materials
To obtain materials in K-State Libraries or other libraries log into your interlibrary loan account (Illiad) to submit, edit, and renew loan requests.
Articles
You may request copies of articles or book chapters via your interlibrary loan account. A separate form must be filled out for each article or book chapter. The materials don't need to be in K-State Libraries; we will obtain them from other libraries if we don't have them here. There are no fees for this service.
Most articles and book excerpts will be delivered electronically within 2-10 days. You will receive an e-mail each time we receive an article for you. The e-mail will provide a link to log in to download your article.
Books and other Materials
Interlibrary Services will send you any books and other materials via UPS, except for videos and dvds with short loan periods. Please note you will need to pay return postage. We recommend returning materials via insured and trackable shipping services. We are unable to mail outside the United States.
K-State Libraries’ materials are checked out to distance patrons on their MyLibrary account. Non-K-State Libraries materials are checked out to distance patrons on their interlibrary loan account.
