Routed Journals

Routed Journals may be a one time gift, a gift subscription, a title that comes as part of a membership package or any serial the bibliographer does not want to have cataloged.

The Bibliographer will fill out the Serials Workform Review Room flyer for the title.

The Serials Specialist will:

• create a Brief Bibliographic Record
• add a 948 |a RTE: (Subject) and the date
• suppress the record from OPAC

When a date is more than two years old, the title should be routed to the Review Room to review the decision again.

Discarded Journals

NOTE: This routine is for titles that will not be held in the KSU Libraries. It does not apply to titles retained for a limited period of time.

Discarded Journals may be a a gift subscription, a title that comes with a membership package or any serial the bibliographer does not want to have cataloged.

The Bibliographer will fill out the Serials Workform Review Room flyer for the title.

The Serials Specialsit will:

• create a Brief Bibliographic Record
• add a 948 |a DISCARD and the date
• suppress the record from OPAC
