Microform and Print Serials Transactions

Microforms received for print materials
in current periodicals reading areas

Microforms replace issues in a current periodicals reading area:

Receive fiche or film on the appropriate mic holdings record.

• Verify that the holdings 008 has been updated.
• Label and OCR the fiche/film.
• Create item record(s).

Send Form to LA1 in the current issues reading area.

Send microform(s) to MIC.

Print issues are maintained in addition to Microform:

Receive fiche or film on the appropriate mic holdings record.
• Verify that the holdings 008 has been updated.
• Label and OCR the fiche/film.
• Create item record(s).

Binding OA3 will pull appropriate issues and update holdings record and/or Serials Check In records.

Send microform(s) to MIC.
