The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is comprised of graduates of regionally accredited colleges and universities. Undergraduates enrolled in a regionally accredited two- or four-year institution may become student affiliates. The membership works for the advancement of women through advocacy and emphasis on lifelong learning; engages in research, and lobbies Congress. The organization promotes education and equity for women and girls, helping women to meet the demands of an increasingly complex society and ensuring women a place among the leaders of tomorrow. The AAUW also conducts programs on topics such as women's work/women's worth and promoting individual liberties.
