Harold Willis Woodruff

Harold Willis Woodruff was born on 08 Sep 1906 in Texas, the eldest son of W. B. and Callie Woodruff. In 1910, his father was the superintendent of the college farm at Prairie View. His father died in Dec of 1911. In 1920, his mother was supporting he and his brother, Wilbur, by working as a teacher in the public schools in Houston, TX. He graduated from Houston High School in 1925.

On 15 Sep 1925, he entered K-State, studying electrical engineering. He stayed for only one semester, during which he lived at 220 Yuma.

The 1930 census lists him as an electrical company salesman in Houston, with his widowed mother, Callie, living with him. Callie Woodruff died in Harris County, TX, in Dec 1943.

Harold Woodruff died in Sep of 1985 in Huntington, NY.
