Larry O’Neil Washington was born on 30 Jun 1906 in Kansas, the middle child of George and Gertrude Washington. His siblings included Myrtle, Virgil, Dorval, and Vera. He graduated from Kensington High School in 1925.
On 14 Sep 1925, he entered K-State initially studying agriculture, but changing his major to general science in Jan of 1926. He withdrew from school in Mar of 1926 due to illness. He returned for the spring semester of 1928, and changed his major to architecture. Summer session of 1930 was the last semester he attended.
He lived in the Phi Beta Sigma Chapter House, 1020 Colorado, throughout his association with K-State. The directory lists his address as 1620 Colorado during his final year.
In 1930, he and his brothers were helping out on the family farm in Smith county, KS. Nothing is known about his life after that point.
