Charles Andrew Taylor was born on 26 Sep 1910, the son of Eli and Melissa Taylor, the second marriage for both of his parents. He was raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Sumner High School in 1927, before attending Purdue University.

On 11 Sep 1928, he entered K-State, studying civil engineering intially, before changing to General Science in Oct 1931. His attendance was somewhat sporadic, with gaps from 1929-1930 and 1931-1932. He last attended in 1932.

During his first year he lived at 821 Yuma. His final two years were after the loss of the Phi Beta Sigma Chapter House, 1020 Colorado. He lived at 1101 Colorado, with the rest of the known members of Delta Chapter lived.

The 1930 census finds him living in St. Louis, Missouri, with his parents and two older brothers. He is listed as a waiter at the NYC Railway.

Nothing more is known about his life from this point onward.
