Simon Walter Scott was born on 05 Oct 1903 in Texas, the son of Simon and Lena Scott. In 1910 he lived with his parents and four siblings in Kansas City, Kansas. In 1920, he was living with his parents and two siblings in Kansas City, Kansas. Both he and his brother Drummond were working at the packing house.
In Sep 1920, he enrolled at K-State. He initially attended the School of Agriculture, the vocational training program, from 1922 through 1925. In 1926 he entered the college proper studying rural commerce. He attended the summer sessions in 1927 and 1928. He graduated on 01 Aug 1928 with a Bachelor of Science degree in rural commerce.
He lived at the Phi Beta Sigma Chapter House, 1020 Colorado, all but one year of his time in college. During that year, 1921, he lived at 905 Colorado.
The 1930 census finds him working as a cook at St. Albans School for Boys in Washington, DC. His wife, Clara, also worked there as a maid. Nothing is known about his life from this point onward.
