Phi Beta Sigma fraternity shield Chapter House
Delta Chapter, 1917-1933

The "Dangerous" Delta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was founded on 09 Apr 1917 at Kansas State Agricultural College (now Kansas State University). This was the first chapter of Phi Beta Sigma on a racially mixed campus west of the Mississippi. Charles Ignatius Brown, one of the three founders of Phi Beta Sigma, was instrumental in the creation of Delta Chapter.
