Norman Hamilton Howell was born on 01 Nov 1905 in Kansas, the son of Calvin and Laura Howell. He had an older sister, Eva Fay. Norman Howell graduated from Sumner High School in 1923.
On 11 Sep 1923, he entered K-State, pursuing an education in veterinary medicine. On 18 Jun 1923, his mother married Arthur Doolin.
He lived in the Phi Beta Sigma Chapter House throughout his college education.
He graduated from K-State on 02 Jun 1927, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. The 1930 census shows that he was working as a veterinarian at a meat packing plant in St. Paul, MN.
Interestingly, fellow Sigma Cornelius Henry Mobiley was working at the same job and living in the same boarding house. On 10 Dec 1935, Norma Jean Howell was born to Norman H. and Meredith (Sizer) Hamilton.
Norman Howell died on 16 Oct 1972, in South Pasadena, Los Angeles, CA.
