Sciences Department
Science and technology collections and services at Kansas State University are provided through five libraries: Love Science Library, Fiedler Engineering Library, the Math/Physics Library, the Veterinary Medical Library, and the K-State at Salina Library.

Love Science Library (map)

Dr. William R. Love Science Library is located on the first floor of Hale Library. It serves the subject areas of agronomy, animal sciences and industry, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, communications (agricultural), entomology, foods & nutrition, grain science and industry, geology, horticulture, forestry and recreation, kinesiology, plant pathology, and statistics.

Fiedler Engineering Library (map)

Fiedler Library was designed primarily as an electronic library and is located on the first floor of Fiedler Hall. Selected current engineering journals and non-circulating engineering reference material such as handbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and standards are housed in Fiedler Library. Current engineering journals that are accessible only in print format are in found in Fiedler Library. If an engineering journal is available electronically full-text via our K-State Libraries subscriptions, any paper counterpart remains in Hale Library as do all bound engineering journals.

Math/Physics Library (map)

The Math/Physics Library is located on the main floor of Cardwell Hall in Room 105. It contains over 20,000 volumes and currently receives roughly 300 serial titles. Its primary function is to maintain an on-site collection of print materials to support the advanced program of study, teaching, and research in physics, mathematics, and allied sciences. Areas of emphasis include atomic physics, solid state physics, and physics education; and algebra (mathematics of discrete phenomena), analysis (mathematics of continuous phenomena), geometry (rigid spatial phenomena), and topology (geometry of non-rigid spatial phenomena).

Veterinary Medical Library (map)

The Veterinary Medicine (VM) Library is located on the 4th floor of Trotter Hall in the Veterinary Medicine Complex. The general collection of books and journals encompasses veterinary medicine, basic biomedical sciences, and selected works in clinical medicine. The VM Library subscribes to approximately 875 journals and endeavors to subscribe to all English language veterinary medical titles. This is supplemented with core titles from human medicine, and selected subject areas representing faculty research interests, expertise, and teaching requirements.
