The Dr. William R. Love Science Library serves as an information retrieval
resource center for Kansas State University, meeting the research and
instructional needs of the faculty and students in science and agriculture
disciplines. Dr. William R. Love was born and raised in the southeast
Kansas community of Bronson, where he grew up working on the family
farm. In 1929, Dr. Love graduated from K-State with a degree in industrial
chemistry. He later received a degree from the University of Kansas
Medical Center, and worked for a time at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
In addition to serving as an Associate Professor at Ohio State University,
Dr. Love maintained a private practice as a dermatologist in Dayton,
Ohio until his retirement in 1977.

Science reference assistance is provided in the Dr. William R. Love
Science Library on the first floor of Hale Library. The counter
is staffed Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Dr. William R. Love
Science Library staff and

Librarians help patrons use library resources for class assignments,
research projects, and personal inquiries, and will provide instructional
tours, classes and workshops related to KSU courses. The Science
Reference Collection includes scientific and technical encyclopedias,
dictionaries, indexes, statistical tables, directories of addresses,
