GENERAL INFORMATION:

Microform is a general term applied to all forms of micro-reproduction which involves reducing the material to a fraction of its original size, allowing researchers to read books, manuscripts, letters, diaries, journals, newspapers, and plays years after the original has turned to dust.

The K-State Libraries' microform collections of nearly three million items contain an array of research collections, newspapers, historical documents, and journal literature. The collections cover a broad spectrum of subject areas, but are especially strong in the humanities.

Staff are available during regular library service hours to retrieve material and assist patrons in using the equipment. Patrons can read, print, scan, email and download images for all of our microfilm, fiche, and micro-opaque material.
