The collection consists of approximately 24,000 print titles and over 50,000 microcards issued by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission between 1948 and 1976.  These technical reports describe research in the development and safety of nuclear energy.  The print material is located in the annex storage facility, and the microcards are housed in Hale Library.  A viewer/scanner is available in Hale for reading, digitizing, and printing the microcards. 

These technical reports are mostly uncataloged and are arranged by technical report number.  The cataloged items are classified under SuDoc number Y 3.At 7:22/ [technical report number].  To find AEC Report Numbers, users can search the U.S. Dept. of Energy’s Energy Citations Database.   The cabinet housing the microcards also contains a shelflist of the print titles.
