Library users are responsible for adhering to the following policies. Failure to do so may result in fines.
These policies are intended to ensure equality of treatment,
yet provide for the widest possible use of library materials.
Check out policy
A K-State ID card is required to check out materials.
Only two items may be checked out at any one time.
All materials are due back in two hours and must remain in the library,
unless otherwise specified.
Patrons are responsible for knowing when their materials are due.
Return policy
All materials must be returned to the Help Desk, 2nd
Floor.
Items returned in the Help Desk bookdrop after the desk has closed
for the day will not be counted as returned until the desk
re-opens.
Materials returned elsewhere will not be
counted as returned until the item is received at the Help Desk.
When the Library is closed - items may be returned in the outside
bookdrops. However, items returned in the outside or Sunflower entrance
bookdrop are not counted as returned until
the next time the Help Desk opens.)
Renewal policy
No renewals.
Fines
All patrons are fined for reserves materials returned late.
Fines for 2 hour reserve are $2.00 per hour overdue.
Fines for items checked out for 1 day, 3 days or 1 week are $5.00/day
(or any portion of a day).
Fines are charged on reserve materials during the days/hours the
library is closed.
Materials returned to the Reserves bookdrop or the outside bookdrops,
after Reserves has closed for the day, are counted as returned the
next time Reserves opens. Fines will continue to accumulate on these
materials, if they were due before closing.
