Who can borrow K-State Libraries' items?

Borrowing Privileges
All K-State faculty, staff, students and authorized affiliates are eligible for borrowing privileges upon presentation of a currently valid K-State id.
Materials may be borrowed from K-State Libraries with any of the following:

  • Current or retired faculty and staff with a K-State ID.
  • Individuals not affiliated with the University with a current Non-Kansas State University Patron Library Card.
  • KSU alumni with a current Alumni Association membership card.
  • Reciprocal users (Big 12, Kansas Regents schools, and OCLC/ARL) with a current home school identification card.
  • Students enrolled at Manhattan Christian College and American Institute of Baking with a current institution identification card.
  • Guests of the university with an authorized letter from the KSU Department/College.

Distance Education/Continuing Education. If you are teaching a Distance Learning class, a Continuing Education class in a remote location, or are the Director or facilitator for a program which has students who do not normally come to campus, contact the Head of Circulation Services, Janice Barrons ( ) or the Assistant Head of Circulation Services, Carolyn Hodgson ( ) for information on library access for your students. To assure timely access to all privileges, each semester, at least one week prior to class beginning, fax a class list/s to Janice Barrons at 785-532-6144. Include on the list the student name, KSU ID number, current address, and current phone number. This process is to be used especially if the class is on a schedule different than the regular academic term. This information will ensure that student access will be available on the first day of class.
