Dean's award

The purpose of the Dean's Award is to recognize exceptional contributions to K-State Libraries by non-tenure track unclassified professional staff. The award, presented annually, consists of a monetary gift and a plaque engraved with the recipient's name. The plaque will be displayed in Hale Library.

Darchelle Martin, 2015 K-State Libraries' Dean's Award Winner

Darchelle Martin, Public Relations Officer, is highly organized and prepares for all the events and promotions with extreme professionalism. Whether it’s soliciting donations, scheduling staff, or rallying students, she is an effective and ideal ambassador for our organization.

Under Darchelle’s leadership, K-State Libraries remain a lively part of campus-wide events. The Friends of the K-State Libraries have had multiple successful galas during Darchelle’s tenure, including last year’s event which set a new fundraising record.
