The NSTC aims to catalogue all works printed in English from the beginning of the nineteenth century to the end of World War One. As well as indexing books, the catalogue includes periodicals, directories and other publications from the period. It currently consists of more than 1.2 millions records from major university and national libraries in the United Kingdom and the United States. The NSTC is an invaluable tool for nineteenth century research.
