Sometimes users have trouble accessing K-State Libraries’ databases. Below are a few possible reasons why this might be happening and what you can do to gain access.

Are you new to K-State?

If you are new to K-State, your eID, which you use for KSIS and webmail, may not be active in our system yet. Please contact the IT Help Desk (785) 532-7722 for help.

Are you a community patron?

Off-campus access to many of our databases is limited to current K-State students, staff, and faculty. Check out our list of open access and free resources which can be accessed from anywhere, without restrictions. 

You get an error message or are denied access

Some databases and ejournals limit how many users can be on at a time. If that’s the case…

  1. Close all your browsers and then try again.
  2. Try another database like Search It for a while, then try again.
  3. Make sure you are using the latest version of your browser.
  4. Make sure you are using the correct login. Your eID is the first part of your K-State Email. If is your email, wildcat is your eID.
  5. Ask a Librarian.
