The Kansas State University Libraries invite applications for the 2016 Consumer Movement Archives (CMA) Research Award. Made possible through an endowment established by Richard L. D. Morse, a prominent leader in the Consumer Movement, the $3000 research award funds travel to the Morse Department of Special Collections. We welcome faculty, graduate students, and independent researchers to apply.
Applicants must submit the following materials for consideration:
- Cover letter
- Research proposal (1,000 word maximum) identifying specific CMA collections that support your project
- Curriculum Vitae
- For graduate students: Please provide a letter of recommendation from your major professor
Research trip must be completed within one year of receiving the award. (Manhattan is easily accessible via American Airlines from Chicago or Dallas/Ft. Worth). Upon project completion, the recipient will provide:
a final report (1,000 word maximum) describing how CMA collections contributed to your scholarship
a copy of the completed product (e.g. book, article, thesis or dissertation, documentary)
