Hale of a time event

About the Event

The Friends of the K-State Libraries invite you to Hale of a Time! 6:30 p.m. Friday, November 3. Join special guests Dave and Ellie Everitt, who have generously given the lead gift to renovate our first floor.

You’ll enjoy four floors of food, drinks and music in celebration of the Libraries’ past, present and future. Hale of a Time! honors two anniversaries—Farrell Library’s 90th and Hale Library’s 20th.

PAST: On Hale Library’s fifth floor, we’ll travel back to the roaring twenties with jazz and vintage cocktails.

PRESENT: In the Dow Center for Multicultural & Community Studies, we’ll honor the university’s growth while enjoying contemporary music and creative eats.

FUTURE: Changes are afoot on the first floor! We envision a space for education in action: an academic oasis featuring study rooms, special collections exhibits, and more. You’ll experience a virtual presentation of that future—and some amazing food and drinks, too!

We’ll end the night in the historic heart of K-State Libraries, the Great Room, for music by Wayne Goins and Susan Hancock. You'll also choose from an array of stunning desserts and opportunities to be part of tomorrow’s Hale Library!

Business casual attire is preferred.
